A technique that is a lot harder than it looks, the secret lies in the papers, paper napkins or images you use and how you combine them. When you become more advanced you can decorate everything from schoolbooks to furniture.Start by choosing a simple item to glue your papers or paper napkins on, a shoebox is a good start. Make sure the surfaces you will glue on are clean and dry. Cut up the images, papers or paper napkins and arrange them on the surfaces of the shoebox.
Doing one section at the time, put glue on your images and attach them to the box carefully. Wipe gently with a soft cloth, pushing out wrinkles and absorbing excess glue. Dilute the glue slightly with water making it a bit more runny, it will make the work easier. When using paper napkins, you will probably be better off putting glue on the surface of the shoe box and attaching the napkin to it. Once all the surfaces are decorated, let it dry.
When your shoebox is fully dried you add a few coats of glue on top of the paper surface. Make sure to let the glue dry between coats.
