You probably have a library of skipping rhymes you sang in school, but you probably just do not remember them. Here are a few that might jog your memory and one or two new. Pass them on, your child will love the same things you loved as a child.
Writing poetry might not be something most children look forward too, but the Japanese Haikus are easy, concise and a lot of fun to write. Not all poetry needs to rhyme and not all poetry needs to take long hours of creation.
Haikus are usually written in simple and everyday language. They express simple and almost spontaneous emotions and experiences, usually relating to something in nature.
Abstract art and paintings does not necessarily mean that you can't make out what you are looking at. Painting is not the only way of making an image. Get inspired pointillism, and try using dots of paper or paint to make an image.
Start by letting your child sketch out a simple drawing in a blank paper. Begin with simple motifs, like trees, a house a face. Using a brush or even a Q-tip colour the image with dots, using primary colours.
