Make any outing with the family into an interactive treasure hunt, for children of school age. Tick off the list, is a very easy and fun game for kids that only requires some preparation from your side. What you do
Depending on the family outing you are planning, make a list of the possible object your child can find on the way. Preferable also include images cut out from magazines or similar.
Ideas
Bird watching – a list of birds your child can mark as found. If your knowledge of birds is limited you are well off to get a small book on birds to bring along.
Forrest walk – list simple things like pine cones, moss, particular trees or leaves, and so on.
City/Town walk – list types of shops or items, both in shops and on the road, such as stoplights.
Back garden – as simple as it gets, but try to list things that are a bit hard to find.
In the house – for a rainy day, a list of household items or even hide items for your child to find.
