School kidSometimes you just wreck your head for fun games and thing to do with children. We have three simple mind games that don't require any preparation and are fun activities for kids.
A chain of words
The purpose is to make a chain of words by using the last letter of a word to make the next. Start with a simple word, such as Cat. The next player continues the chain by naming a word that stats with T, and so on.
Make the game harder by limiting the words to single categories, such as animals, countries, foods, and so on.
Bits and pieces
Get your child to name as many parts as possible of an object or place. Choose an object, such as car, kitchen, bicycle, garden shed, and so on.
Challenge your child by setting a time limit or try to beat the last record of parts named.
Favourite characters
A guessing game where you figure out a famous person or character your child is thinking of by asking questions.
Either you or your child has to think of a famous person or character, such as Harry Potter or Hannah Montana. The questions can be something like these: Is it a boy? Does he have brown hair? Does he wear glasses? Can he do magic? Make sure it is only a yes or no answer.
