The time for family holidays are coming and while your kids may be used to some car travel, a long haul could easily drive them up the walls. Simple travel bingo is our suggestion for car games for kids, keeping your child entertained.
You will need to prepare in advance, by drawing items you will come across on the road. Divide up the paper into large aligned squares and draw the items inside each square. Make sure to draw the images a bit big, so your child can colour it in once you come across the item. Explain to your child that once he can get a full row, you will have something special for him, a favourite fruit, biscuit, a short stop at a playground, and so on.
If you are not a confident artist, you can always cut out images from magazines. Let your child call out when you come across the item on the road. For fun you could always include an impossible item to find, such as an elephant.
What you need:
Paper
Coloured pens
A hard surface (a hard back book will do)
