It is always good to have a game or two stored away for a rainy day, a fun activity for kids to do. With a few pillows, a couple of throws and some furniture, your child could create his own cubby hole at home. It might be a bit messy, but it will be easy to tidy up afterwards.
Create an indoor cave under the kitchen table or between the sofas in the livingroom. Use the throws to cover the sides or ceiling of the make believe cave. Throw in a few pillows to sit on and your child will have his own new and unusual space to play in. You will be amazed at the delight your child feels over something so simple.
Enhance the experience by giving him a picnic, a flashlight, some books, and so on.
