Simple idea for fun until Christmas, counting the days in anticipation. Let your Christmas be about having fun together as a family or just for the children. An easy way to create and plan simple activities for the whole family. Simplicity and easy is the key, but the fact that it is planned, albeit somewhat randomly, gives you all something to look forward to.
What you need
25 sheets of coloured paper
25 coloured envelopes (optional)
Pens, crayons or/and brushes and paints
String
Clothe pegs
Activity ideas
What you do
Make a list simple and fun activities that you would like to do as a family. Don’t make it too complicated as it can be as simple as eating popcorn, stargazing or singing Christmas carols.
Write an activity in each of the 25 coloured papers, let your child draw or paint the activity.
Fold up the sheet of paper onto a sealed square or put it into a coloured envelope.
You can either shuffle all the folded papers and number them randomly from 1 to 25, or select certain activities that are suitable for certain days. A good tip is to make a special activity or drawing for number 25.
Hang up your string against a wall, for example above the fireplace, and hang up your folded activities with the clothes pegs.
Start opening one activity at the time, from the first of December and have lots of fun.
