Easy peasy pretty Christmas chains

Fun_Crafts_School_kids_1210_Paper_chainsYou couldn’t do an easier Christmas decoration activity with your kids. It’s pretty, fun and easy, and the colourful chains are great way to decorate the Christmas tree or around the house.

Start by cutting up the coloured papers into one inch wide strips, about 4 inches long. Depending on how handy your child is with the scissors, or how comfortable you are with him using them, you can let your child do this.

Mix up the strips of paper and let your child put a bit of glue with the glue stick on one end. Then bend the paper backwards and join the two ends into a loop. Put glue on another paper strip, choosing a different colour. Put the strip through the loop and join the ends, making a chain.

Keep going until you are satisfied with the length and keep making the chains until your child’s gets tired or the paper runs out.
