Bowling is a fun and simple children’s game that trains children’s coordination, sense of depth and speed. It can be played outdoors in the lawn, but also in any hallway indoors when the weather is bad.
Younger children can simply count the amount of pins that either are left standing or have fallen. Older children can try reaching a specific number of fallen pins, first one to reach the number wins.
What you need
Bowling pins
Ball (heavier ball, e.g. soccer ball)
Pen and paper, optional (for counting pins)
A thrifty solution
If you don’t want to buy the bowling set you can easily make one up at home. Fill tall empty plastic bottles with gravel or sand, screw on the tops. The best bottles to use would be narrow ones, such as for Lucozaid or other drinks. You can use bottles of different sizes and you can also decorate them.
