Dyspraxia and DCD Wednesday 7th July
Upo-to-date information on Dyspraxia and Developmental Coordination Disroder. The course will teach parents how to explain dyspraxia/DCD, but also understand the impact of dyspraxia/DCD on a child's daily activities and impact on concepts of self-efficacy. The course will also review the different approaches to intervention, and is held by Dr. Cermak, Professor of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy at the University of Souther California and author of the book Developmental Coordination Disorder.Time and venue: 9am – 4pm. First aid Saturday 17th July
A practical up-to date paediatric first aid training course for parents and carers of babies and young children.Time and venue: Harcourt St. and Malahide Rugby Club, Dublin. And Greystones, Co. Wicklow.

Parents and children, reading All summer, closing date 27th August
The National Parents Council (NPC) are encouraging parents to get involved with their children's reading, by running a summer book review. Let your child pick any book and send in a review to the NPC, with the child's name, home address, age. You can answer the NPC questionnaire or a review of the same book. There are prizes to win, in the age categories 4-7 years, 8-10 years and 11-13 years of age.Time and venue: At your own time

Eating disorder support
Sundays from 7-8.30 pm
Not exactly parenting support, but somewhere where your child can find support, if she or he is suffering from an eating disorder. An online support group for youths aged between 13-18, supervised by two facilitators that keep the group supportive and safe for everyone.Time and venue: 7-8.30pm, Online, register on Bodywhys.
