Try the very basic creamy carbonara and why not add a twist of vegetables and herbs. Watching the cookery shows it's often easy to forget that pasta is the easiest meal ever. Very little you do with pasta is ever wrong.Ingredients
500 g pasta100 ml cream
5 rashers or streaky bacon
Freshly grated parmesan
Olive oil
Salt and pepper
Carbonara Preparation
Cut the rashers or bacon into bits, fry or grill them, drain the fat and set them aside.Boil the pasta until it is “al dente”, slightly chewy and almost done, exactly the time adviced on the package. Drain it and while it's warm, add the rashers or bacon and cream. Heat it up and cook it for a couple of minutes. Finish off by adding the cheese.
