Alice in wonderland
Director Tim Burton has a knack of bringing out the dark emotions of most stories, he literally revels in stories with a slightly crooked moral standing and delivers them to the screen with whimsical delight, lavish acting and colourful sets.

This month cinemas present his latest creation, Alice in Wonderland, not the original story but rather a continuation. A grown up Alice returns to the wonderland through the rabbit hole, where she gets entangled in a royal fight between the Red and the White queens.

Alice has forgotten her last visit in Wonderland, but keeps getting flashbacks as she reacquaints herself with old friends the Cheshire Cat, Tweedledee and Tweedledum, who are ready to revolt against the Red Queen who has overthrown her sister the White Queen. The movie is packed with heavy ringers, Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter, Helena Bonham Carter as the Red Queen and Anne Hathaway as the White. Queen. Look forward to a visual treat. The movie opens up in cinemas across the country the 5th March. (PG)
