A beautiful, artistic and magical story of a girl that wanders into a world of ghosts, magic, monster and witches. Spirited Away is an Oscar winning animated film by renowned Japanese Anime director Hayao Miyazaki.During their move to the suburbs, Chihiro and her parents find an empty amusement park hidden in the Japanese countryside. As she wanders away from her parents she is not caught in the spell that turns them into pigs. She is instead forced by a witch to work in the local bathhouse for gods, spirits and magical creatures. As she befriends a boy, who is also a dragon, she tries to free herself and her parents from the witches spell.
While the myths in the story may be alien to most of us, it is told in a simple and engaging way. The beautiful animations, with amazing detail and extraordinary landscapes, are exceptional and far exceed any Hollywood computer animated creations.
