The rags-to-riches story of orphan girl Annie. Love it or hate it, if you're an adult, but Annie the musical is a much loved movie by many children. Over acted and with a very thin story, and while most songs might not be memorable, you will get hooked by the music and lyrics of "Tomorrow, tomorrow" and "It's a hard knock life".Annie lives in and orphanage run by Mrs. Hannigan, a half-drunk and love-sick spinster, played by comedienne Carol Burnett and is the best part of the movie. Annie is the smartest girl, strongest and most charming. She gets picked by the secretary of the cities wealthiest man to live in his mansion for a week, as a PR stunt to show his social consciousness. She charms her way into the magnates iron heart and through song and dance also gets him to fall in love with his secretary, and make all the other orphan girls happy.
A good movie for little girls between three and six years of age, and harmless if not boring for the rest of us.
