Where the wild things are
by Maurice Sendalk
A true classic that lets kids fantasies fly and also deal with things that might be a little scary. The story of Max that gets sent to bed without dinner for all his mischief. He escapes by imagining another world where he becomes king of the frightening wild things. Great to use a lot of facial expressions while imitating the rolling eyes, gnashing teeth and roaring of the wild things.
