We love all the Charlie and Lola books, they are funny, well written and the illustrations are unusual. Most parents will know the stories, about a brother and younger sister, and their daily life at home and in school. Adults are only in the periphery, only mentioned and never seen, it is truly told from a child's perspective. The Charlie and Lola books are always kind and never soppy, Lola also has a very funny way of saying things. We have to give a small warning for parents with fussy eaters with this particular book; what your child remembers from the book might be that Lola refuses to eat, not that she understands there is nothing wrong with tomatoes, or peas, or carrots, or potatoes...
