Momarazzis - private or published?

I have learned a new word, Mamarazzi, and while I cannot fully recognise myself in it I see enough similarities to cringe a bit. Simply take the word Mama and Paparazzi, mix them together and get an average modern parent.

The Urban Dictionary classifies Mamarazzis as:
"Mothers who constantly follow their children around with several cameras and video taking equipment, snapping photos at each turn and documenting each milestone or event with at least two dozen photos and a video."

I came across a blog, STFU Parents, that rolls it's eyes at overly dedicated parents, or rather the ones (I'm sure you might be one yourself, I know I can be) that just lost sense of reality in terms of the rest of the world's interest in your magic offspring. Let me warn you that the blog will not only make you feel somewhat embarrased, also feel a bit hurt and you will probably start questioning what you really write about your children online.

But there is a line that some parents cross, and that is the parents that publish every documented milestone their child achieves. Do a quick search on Youtube and you will see the most unnecessary videos of children doing nothing spectacular. It is probably amazing to those parents, but to the rest of us...not so much.

Now I may not publish many images of my kids, but I should probably not judge as I hang most of my laundry for everyone to read. In our defence, we, Mamarazzis, do not only publish to share the miracle of our children, but also to let go of a bit of steam once in a while. The question is really...will my children thank me or hate me for it?
